WHAT IS BREATHWORK?

Breathwork is a safe and effective breathing technique that assists in processing trauma, creating new neural pathways, and promoting improved neural plasticity. This technique is commonly used in clinical settings to help treat and heal trauma, substance use disorder, mental illness, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and other ailments that keep individuals stuck in unhealthy, unsatisfying behavior patterns. As with all clinical treatments, results vary from person to person, but breathwork clients most commonly report feeling a powerful sense of peace, joy, connection, and self-love.

The Recovery Circle weekly meeting, hosted by Breathwork for Recovery

This simple two-stage breath pattern quiets the mind long enough to facilitate a deep connection to the body and allow clients to feel and process emotions buried deep inside – often for the very first time.

Breathwork is done lying down while under the guidance of a trained facilitator, and each session is customized according to clients’ unique needs and personal goals.
