Biography

Andrea Pascual is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who values creating a collaborative space for individuals, couples, and families to feel validated and understood, while gently challenging patterns, thoughts, and feelings to cultivate meaningful change.

Andrea practices with an integrative approach, blending existential therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and structural family therapy, while utilizing CBT and ACT interventions to explore values, highlight intergenerational patterns, and build skills that support clients outside of the therapy space. By prioritizing an intersectional lens of care, she focuses on learning about the social identities of each individual to support both the individual and the broader system at play to enhance personal development throughout their therapy journey.

Andrea has experience working in various levels of care, ranging from non-profit community clinics for clients struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relational conflict to community mental health at an FSP Program for clients struggling with severe mental illness and/ or experiencing homelessness, as well as facilitating support groups for individuals struggling with grief and loss. She also has experience providing couples therapy and family therapy with children ranging from toddlerhood to adolescence. With this experience, she prioritizes adaptability, warmth, and flexible structure when building a space to empower individuals, strengthen boundaries, and build confidence.

Therapy can be scary and overwhelming. With this in mind, Andrea seeks to build comfort and safety while fostering positive growth and supporting you along your journey! Readiness for change can be intimidating, and – as a personal life philosophy – readiness comes in hindsight.
