
Biography
Brenda is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a deep commitment to supporting her clients’ wellbeing. As a queer Latina, she understands the importance of creating a safe, inclusive, and empowering space for all individuals. Brenda earned her Master’s in Social Work from New York University.
Her professional journey has taken her through various roles, including working in community-based crisis teams at South Central and providing support in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and residential programs. These experiences have shaped her holistic approach to therapy, where she works to ensure that every client feels truly seen and heard.
Brenda incorporates a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), self-compassion interventions, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) to help individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions.
Outside of therapy, Brenda enjoys working out, dancing, and cooking as part of her self-care routine.
