Jonathan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over five years of experience in the mental health field. He holds a Master of Social Work from Azusa Pacific University and dual bachelorโs degrees in Psychology & Social Behavior and Education Sciences from the University of California, Irvine.
Jonathanโs clinical experience spans diverse settings, including medical social work in a cancer hospital, intensive therapy at a partial hospitalization drug and alcohol rehabilitation program, and comprehensive mental health services within Full-Service Partnership (FSP) community mental health programs. Through these roles, he has supported individuals facing complex medical diagnoses, substance use challenges, and severe and persistent mental health conditions.
As a trauma-informed therapist, Jonathanโs mission is to empower individuals in navigating lifeโs challenges and traumatic experiences, fostering healing, resilience, and personal growth. Drawing upon both his professional expertise and experience as a second-generation Asian American, Jonathan is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and culturally responsive space where clients can explore their emotions, identities, and lived experiences with compassion and understanding.
Jonathan has specialized training in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and exposure and response prevention (ERP). His approach integrates these evidence-based modalities to help clients process and reframe distressing memories, facilitating healing and psychological well-being.
His therapeutic practice is tailored to the unique needs and goals of each individual, emphasizing self-awareness, emotional insight, and the development of effective coping strategies.
