Biography

Monique Acosta is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a master’s degree from Charles R. Drew University. Monique has over 15 years’ experience in oncology nursing, which has cultivated a deep understanding of holistic, patient-centered care, particularly in managing complex and emotionally challenging health conditions. Monique is defined by her commitment to supporting patients and their families through some of the most vulnerable moments in their lives.

As a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, Monique is dedicated to advancing the field of mental health through evidence-based practice, education, and advocacy. She brings a compassionate approach and a wealth of clinical expertise to address a variety of mental health challenges. She is passionate about integrating her oncology background with psychiatric care, recognizing the intricate connection between physical and mental wellbeing. Her approach emphasizes empathy and collaboration that empowers individuals on their journey toward recovery and resilience.

In her free time, Monique enjoys reading, staying active by going to Orangetheory Fitness, and unwinding with thrilling dramas and suspenseful movies.
