
Biography
As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a master’s degree from Charles Drew University, Jamie Waarbroek has a deep passion for improving both mental health and physical wellbeing. Jamie has been in medicine since 2009 — first as a registered nurse and now as a PMHNP — where she has extensive experience in intensive care, perianesthesia, and trauma-informed psychiatric care across all age groups, from pediatrics to adults. This diverse clinical background allows her to approach each patient’s care with a comprehensive perspective, integrating the latest evidence-based practices to provide the highest standard of care.
Jamie is a proud member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA) and continuously stays up to date with the best evidence-based practices in psychiatric care. Her goal is to empower and support her patients on their mental health journey with compassionate, personalized care.
When not working, Jamie is a mother of two young children, and loves spending her weekends with family. Staying active is a big part of her life, and she enjoys skiing, running, and hiking. These activities help Jamie to maintain a healthy balance between work and personal life, ensuring that she can give her best to both her patients and her loved ones.
