Growing up in a culturally diverse neighborhood provided him with a love, appreciation, and comfort in working with people from a wide variety of backgrounds. After working for some time in the trades, he decided to return to school to pursue his lifelong interest in clinical psychology. Jonathan earned his masterโ€™s in marriage and family therapy at Cal State Dominguez Hills, after which he was drawn to work with children and families managing challenges associated with autism and other neurodiversity.

After shifting to working with adults in both residential and outpatient treatment for addiction and co-occurring challenges such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, OCD, and many other psychiatric diagnoses, Jonathan developed his mindfulness-based approach to psychotherapy further. With extensive training and over 9 years of experience in using DBT, ACT, and CBT in combination with a humanistic and solution-focused approach, Jonathan applies an integrated and personalized style of therapy from a place of genuine connection and empathy. He believes in meeting his clients where they are while remaining flexible yet focused in his work to assist people in reaching their personal and mental health goals of wellness and fulfillment.

In his free time, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his family and partner exploring southern Californiaโ€™s natural beauty, attending cultural events, and seeing art and live music.
