Martha Koo, M.D.

Medical Director/Founder

Dr. Martha B. Koo, M.D., completed her undergraduate studies at Princeton University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude, and her medical training at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, where she earned membership to the AOA and Sigma Xi Society for academic excellence. Dr. Koo obtained her psychiatry residency training at the Resnick Neuropsychiatric Institute at UCLA and her subsequent psychoanalytic training at the New Center for Psychoanalysis. She is Board Certified in Psychiatry and Board Certified in Addiction Medicine. For over twenty years Dr. Koo has enjoyed her private practice, providing outpatient psychotherapy, psychoanalysis and pharmacological treatment for individuals, couples and families. A pioneer in the development and application of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS), Dr. Koo opened the South Bay TMS Therapy Center in 2009. She is certified in the application of Neurostar rTMS, Brainsway Deep TMS and MagVenture rTMS Therapy. South Bay TMS has evolved into the Neuro Wellness Spa, where Dr. Koo is Medical Director and offers iv ketamine, iv nutrition and photobiomodulation along with rTMS therapy. She is on the Board of Directors of the Clinical TMS Society. Additionally, Dr. Koo is the Medical Director and Clinical Supervisor at  Clear Recovery Center. She is an active member of the American Psychiatric Association, the New Center for Psychoanalysis, the Clinical TMS Society, the American Society of Addiction Medicine, the American Society of Ketamine Physicians, the California Psychiatric Society and the Southern California Psychiatric Society. She is also a guest lecturer at the New Center for Psychoanalysis and the Los Angeles Psychoanalytic Society and Institute.

Keith Young, M.D.

Medical Director

Dr. Keith Young, M.D. joined the Neuro Wellness Spa team with more than twenty years of experience treating mood disorders in his practices in Los Angeles and Rancho Mirage.  A graduate of Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, he completed his residency at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute where he served as Chief Resident and he is currently Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine.  Long interested in policy, he completed a medical school internship at the National Institute of Mental Health, studied medical technology issues while pursuing his master’s degree at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, served on the Board of Trustees of the American Psychiatric Association and chaired the Health and Medical Welfare Commission of the City of Rancho Mirage.  He has also completed the Duke University Visiting Fellowship in transcranial magnetic stimulation. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. Outside of work, Dr. Young enjoys his volunteer service on several boards related to higher education. He is passionate about travel and loves exploring new places and new cultures.  He is pleased to join the South Bay team at its Palm Desert location and to play an active role in bringing the latest neuromodulation therapies to the valley’s residents.

Simon Faynboym, M.D.

Medical Director

Dr. Simon Faynboym was born in Ukraine and immigrated to California at a very young age. Growing up in California, he had a drive to serve the underprivileged and decided to become a physician. Dr. Faynboym currently practices Psychiatry and TMS at Neuro Wellness Spa. Dr. Faynboym earned two Bachelor of Science Degrees, his first in Genetics and the second in Food Biochemistry. He graduated in the top of his class and continued thereafter to get his masters training in Biomedical Sciences at Midwestern University for a year, before heading off to Medical School.
 
Dr. Faynboym attended Medical School at SGU School of Medicine with clinical rotations in New York and California. Dr. Faynboym then attended Indiana University School of Medicine-Purdue University Indianapolis Hospital System for his internship and residency in Psychiatry.
 
Dr. Faynboym has been politically involved in Indiana State Medical Association leading to his service as a Trustee for several years. He has been chosen to sit in the House of Delegates for the American Medical Association, is part of the American Psychiatric Association and is part of the Pain and Palliative Caucus.”

Josh Lichtman, D.O.

Medical Director

Dr. Josh Lichtman has been practicing psychiatry for the last decade. He is dual board certified in both adult psychiatry and addiction medicine.
 
He is passionate about mindfulness practice and psychiatry and is constantly trying to blend the two. Although he primarily focuses on TMS and psychopharmacology, he is trained in various modalities of psychotherapy including CBT, DBT, EMDR, and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. He is a clinical instructor at UCLA, and has been selected to be on the list for Southern California Super Doctors for 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, and 2015.

Jonathon Shaywitz, M.D.

Psychiatrist

Dr. Shaywitz is a Board Certified Psychiatrist. He received his BA with Honors from Brown University and received his Medical Degree from Harvard Medical School. Dr. Shaywitz completed his residency at UCLA where he was selected chief resident for the Anxiety Disorders Program.
 
Dr. Shaywitz was the Director of the Anxiety Disorders Program at Cedar Sinai,  the Medical Director at Glendale Memorial Hospital, the Medical Director of Behavioral Health at Mission Hospital Laguna Beach and Mission Hospital Mission Viejo and Medical Director of La Casa Psychiatric Facility.  
 
Dr. Shaywitz was the Director of Program Development at Community Psychiatry. He was awarded the Circle of Friends Honor at Cedar Sinai and has published book chapters and journal articles on the treatment of behavioral health disorders and is particularly interested in anxiety disorders and affective disorders. Dr. Shaywitz has completed fellowships at NIMH and Columbia University.  He is also the co-author of the 2nd edition of the best selling book published by Knopf “Overcoming Dyslexia”.

Tulsie Patel, M.D.

Psychiatrist

Dr. Tulsie Patel graduated Cum Laude from Drexel University and attended the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She completed her psychiatry residency at the University of Texas Southwestern where she served as Chief Resident.
 
She has published numerous articles and book chapters on various topics within the fields of psychiatry, dermatology, and psychodermatology.
 
She is passionate about medical journalism. During her residency training, she worked at ABC News in New York City as a member of their medical unit. She provided consultation on medical stories for programs includingWorld News with David Muir and Good Morning America, published multiple articles on the websites for ABC News and Good Morning America, and did on-air expert interviews on medical topics. She most recently participated in a Facebook Live interview for Mental Health Half Hour to discuss depression and anxiety during the Covid-19 pandemic.
 
She is also committed to volunteer work. She has previously worked at numerous clinics in the United States, India, South Africa, and Namibia. She has also helped construct homes and schools in some of those communities.

Emily Pedersen, MPH, M.S.Ed.

Director of Clinical Development

Emily Pedersen is the Director of Clinical Development for Neuro Wellness Spa. She holds a Master’s degree in Education and a Master of Public Health degree with a certificate in health inequities from Johns Hopkins University.

 

As a former educator with a strong professional background in public health research, Emily has extensive experience partnering with communities to improve health and educational outcomes. She has served as a teacher, team-lead and professional curriculum developer for Baltimore City Public Schools as well as a senior research coordinator for the Johns Hopkins Department of Epidemiology.

 

Emily is passionate about reducing disparities in health care. She finds nothing more rewarding than meeting with local practitioners, developing partnerships, solving problems and increasing access to services, particularly for those in need of compassionate mental health treatment.

Jana Bright, R.N.

Registered Nurse 

Jana graduated from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with distinction. She has a wide range of nursing experience, starting her career as a Nurse Specialist in the post anesthesia care unit (PACU) and most recently working in pediatrics.

 

She recently relocated to the South Bay and feels incredibly fortunate to have joined the Neuro Wellness Spa team as a fully certified TMS Technician. Working to improve the lives of others is a core value for Jana and was a key factor for her in choosing nursing as a career.

 

As a part of the Neuro Wellness Spa team she has the opportunity to help bring about positive change in patients lives on a daily basis, which makes her very happy.

Jennifer Minton

Lead Technician

Jennifer Minton is the center’s Lead Technician and a fully certified rTMS Technician. A native of Southern California, she graduated from Harbor College.

 

Jennifer has over 19 years of clinical care experience as a dental, medical and surgical assistant. Having worked in both private practice and hospital settings, with diverse patient populations in a wide variety of medical specialties, Jennifer is an expert in comprehensive patient care.

 

She is fully trained in the application of both Neurostar TMS and Brainsway deep TMS Therapy as well as a trained NEBA provider for brainwave-based ADHD testing. Jennifer is ACLS, BLS and CPR certified.

Tiffany Henning

Lead TMS Technician 

Tiffany Henning is a Southern California native, she moved to the Coachella Valley in 2006. She received a bachelor’s degree in Human Services, with concentration on family and children from the University of Phoenix and is currently working on her master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California.

 

She has been in the mental health field for over 10 years. She has worked with patients struggling with many different mental health concerns and addictions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and life changes. She was drawn to TMS as she wanted to bring healing to individuals suffering from major depression, and/or other mental illnesses.

 

She has trained extensively under Dr. Martha Koo, at the Manhattan Beach location and has been certified by MagVenture to operate their state of the art TMS devices and provide treatment approved by the FDA for our patients as a fully certified TMS Technician.

 

Kristin Robbins

Lead TMS Technician

Kristin was born and raised in the South Bay. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Southern California. She has over 20 years of management experience in small business and has worked in a variety of industries with customer care as her highest priority. She has mentored and supervised many and truly enjoys the process of helping others pursue their unique personal development.

 

She is passionate about teaching natural solutions that support both physical and emotional wellness. She is an essential oil educator and wellness advocate with a special interest in how essential oils assist in healing. She is a fully certified Mag Venture Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Technician, treating patients with a conscious understanding of Neuro-wellness. She is honored and excited to grow with the team at Neuro Wellness Spa.

Jessica Falberg

Lead TMS Technician

Jessica was raised in Orange County where she lived until recently, when she moved to Indian Wells to join the Neuro Wellness Palm Desert team as a fully certified TMS Technician. She’s spent many years working in the healthcare field where she developed a passion for helping others to get well. Outside of work, Jessica dedicates her time to mentoring women, encouraging and assisting them in becoming the best version of themselves.

 

Jessica most enjoys the one on one time she gets to spend with patients, getting to know them and watching their lives transform!

 

In her free time, Jessica enjoys sailing, hiking and traveling.

Goldie Rai

TMS Technician

Goldie Rai has extensive experience in the healthcare industry with Manhattan Beach Professional Group. She received her degree at the California State University at Fresno and was a teacher for a period of time before transitioning to a career as a medical assistant and office administrative supervisor.

 

Goldie is a fully certified Transcranial Magnetic Therapy Technician and rTMS, which makes her an invaluable asset at Neuro Wellness Spa. She shares Dr. Koo’s passion for helping patients and facilitating their treatment and relief from depression.

 

Goldie is dedicated to providing the highest level of patient care possible and works tirelessly to make sure that patients have as comfortable of an experience as they can. She is passionate about her work at Neuro Wellness Spa and loves watching the transformation that patients experience as they go through the process of recovery!

Nicole Embree

TMS Technician

Nicole Embree is an L.A. native, receiving her BA and MA in Communication Studies from California State University, Northridge. Her MA thesis focused on young adults and college students experiencing recent mental illness diagnosis, and their different trials with new treatments, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) in particular. Fully certified in rTMS, she has taught upper division college courses in the fields of performance, language, cultural, and intercultural studies, poetry, narrative, experimental art, and public speaking. Nicole has facilitated workshops in public speaking, creative writing, the power of personal narratives and storytelling, movement, and utilizing performance art for social change and empowerment. Her research and writing focuses primarily on developing creative, safe, and collaborative environments for individual growth.

 

Nicole nurtures a deep love for all things creative, but more than anything she is an impassioned and active advocate within the mental health community having volunteered with both NAMI and DBSA. She considers the opportunity to work at Neuro Wellness Spa as an absolute privilege, and loves the time spent with the center’s patients. Nicole still continues her writing by diving deeper into the intersections of interculturalism, performance studies, disability, mental illness, and human rights. Loves E.T., the Dodgers, and body surfing…but first, coffee!

Yukiko Rome

TMS Technician

Yukiko Rome graduated from Sophia University (Tokyo, Japan) with a BA in Sociology. She came to the Untied States in 1998 and earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from California State University at Dominguez Hills. She is Japanese/English bilingual and has extensive work experience in clinical and educational settings.

 

Yukiko is a fully certified Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation technician. She has had a lifelong interest in nurturing the mind-body connection and is very passionate and excited about working with the new non invasive brain stimulation treatment. Yukiko appreciates a work environment where she has the opportunity to help patients with diverse backgrounds and witnessing patient progress over the course of TMS treatment.

 

In her free time, she enjoys surfing, practicing yoga and meditation and creating unique ceramic pottery.

Marchelle Klein

TMS Technician / Content Writer

Marchelle Klein is a native of Southern California and has lived as a resident of Torrance for more than 20 years and joins the Neuro Wellness Spa team as a fully certified TMS Technician. She has been a strong supporter of Neuro Wellness Spa since meeting Dr. Martha Koo in 2012. She works as a contributor to both the website and blog, and she also enjoys serving as a technician at the Torrance center.

 

Having battled her own bipolar diagnosis, Marchelle is a passionate advocate for mental health. She has personally experienced both electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) as well as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). She uses her personal testimony to encourage others seeking mental wellness and stability. She explains her perspective, “By making myself vulnerable and sharing my condition unabashedly, I work toward dispelling the mental health stigma. My hope is that I am relatable and thus encourage others to think, ‘she got better; maybe I can too.’”

 

Marchelle and her husband raise five children and spend most of their time doing so. If any spare time permits, she enjoys playing with her three French bulldogs, crocheting gifts, or reading.

Alexandra Yee

TMS Technician

Lexie is a recent graduate of UC Irvine, where she earned her B.S. in Cognitive Science and developed a passion for neuroscience and mental health. 
 
Lexie is extremely passionate about helping others. She loves her work as a TMS Technician because she is able to witness patients’ positive transformations as they go through the process of recovery. In the future, Lexie plans to pursue her doctorate degree in Clinical Neuropsychology, so she can continue her work in helping change people’s lives for the better.
 
In her free time, Lexie enjoys going to concerts and musicals, eating delicious food, and spending time with loved ones.

Beck Richards

TMS Technician

Beck was born and raised in Chicago, IL. He moved to Los Angeles in 2015 to attend school and gain experience in the field of mental health.

 

Beck has over 5 years of experience working in mental health and substance abuse treatment at various levels of care.

 

Beck is a graduate of UCLA Extension’s Drug and Alcohol Counseling Program. He is currently studying Clinical Psychology at Antioch University.

 

Beck puts client centered care at the forefront of his work. He is passionate about helping all people and watching their lives improve.

Goldie Rai

TMS Technician

Goldie Rai has extensive experience in the healthcare industry with Manhattan Beach Professional Group. She received her degree at the California State University at Fresno and was a teacher for a period of time before transitioning to a career as a medical assistant and office administrative supervisor.

 

Goldie is a fully certified Transcranial Magnetic Therapy Technician and rTMS, which makes her an invaluable asset at Neuro Wellness Spa. She shares Dr. Koo’s passion for helping patients and facilitating their treatment and relief from depression.

 

Goldie is dedicated to providing the highest level of patient care possible and works tirelessly to make sure that patients have as comfortable of an experience as they can. She is passionate about her work at Neuro Wellness Spa and loves watching the transformation that patients experience as they go through the process of recovery!

Nicole Embree

TMS Technician

Nicole Embree is an L.A. native, receiving her BA and MA in Communication Studies from California State University, Northridge. Her MA thesis focused on young adults and college students experiencing recent mental illness diagnosis, and their different trials with new treatments, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) in particular. Fully certified in rTMS, she has taught upper division college courses in the fields of performance, language, cultural, and intercultural studies, poetry, narrative, experimental art, and public speaking. Nicole has facilitated workshops in public speaking, creative writing, the power of personal narratives and storytelling, movement, and utilizing performance art for social change and empowerment. Her research and writing focuses primarily on developing creative, safe, and collaborative environments for individual growth.

 

Nicole nurtures a deep love for all things creative, but more than anything she is an impassioned and active advocate within the mental health community having volunteered with both NAMI and DBSA. She considers the opportunity to work at Neuro Wellness Spa as an absolute privilege, and loves the time spent with the center’s patients. Nicole still continues her writing by diving deeper into the intersections of interculturalism, performance studies, disability, mental illness, and human rights. Loves E.T., the Dodgers, and body surfing…but first, coffee!

Yukiko Rome

TMS Technician

Yukiko Rome graduated from Sophia University (Tokyo, Japan) with a BA in Sociology. She came to the Untied States in 1998 and earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from California State University at Dominguez Hills. She is Japanese/English bilingual and has extensive work experience in clinical and educational settings.

 

Yukiko is a fully certified Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation technician. She has had a lifelong interest in nurturing the mind-body connection and is very passionate and excited about working with the new non invasive brain stimulation treatment. Yukiko appreciates a work environment where she has the opportunity to help patients with diverse backgrounds and witnessing patient progress over the course of TMS treatment.

 

In her free time, she enjoys surfing, practicing yoga and meditation and creating unique ceramic pottery.

Marchelle Klein

TMS Technician / Content Writer

Marchelle Klein is a native of Southern California and has lived as a resident of Torrance for more than 20 years. She has been a strong supporter of Neuro Wellness Spa since meeting Dr. Martha Koo in 2012. She works as a contributor to both the website and blog, and she also enjoys serving as a fully certified TMS Technician at the Torrance center.

 

Having battled her own bipolar diagnosis, Marchelle is a passionate advocate for mental health. She has personally experienced both electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) as well as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). She uses her personal testimony to encourage others seeking mental wellness and stability. She explains her perspective, “By making myself vulnerable and sharing my condition unabashedly, I work toward dispelling the mental health stigma. My hope is that I am relatable and thus encourage others to think, ‘she got better; maybe I can too.’”

 

Marchelle and her husband raise five children and spend most of their time doing so. If any spare time permits, she enjoys playing with her three French bulldogs, crocheting gifts, or reading.

Alexandra Yee

TMS Technician

Lexie is a recent graduate of UC Irvine, where she earned her B.S. in Cognitive Science and developed a passion for neuroscience and mental health. 
 
Lexie is extremely passionate about helping others. She loves her work as a TMS Technician because she is able to witness patients’ positive transformations as they go through the process of recovery. In the future, Lexie plans to pursue her doctorate degree in Clinical Neuropsychology, so she can continue her work in helping change people’s lives for the better.
 
In her free time, Lexie enjoys going to concerts and musicals, eating delicious food, and spending time with loved ones.

Beck Richards

TMS Technician

Beck was born and raised in Chicago, IL. He moved to Los Angeles in 2015 to attend school and gain experience in the field of mental health.

 

Beck has over 5 years of experience working in mental health and substance abuse treatment at various levels of care.

 

Beck is a graduate of UCLA Extension’s Drug and Alcohol Counseling Program. He is currently studying Clinical Psychology at Antioch University.

 

Beck puts client centered care at the forefront of his work. He is passionate about helping all people and watching their lives improve.

Chief Operations Officer

Michael Joly is the COO of Neuro Wellness Spa, with over 20 years of experience in mental health recovery. Mike has devoted his entire career to helping individuals and their families heal and recover from substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.

 

His passion for recovery is unparalleled. He has built a wealth of knowledge and experience that translates across many disciplines.

 

Mike is actively involved in bringing community awareness to living a positive and healthy lifestyle by working as a substance abuse and prevention consultant to various educational and healthcare systems. His expertise has provided him guest appearances in major media outlets throughout the United States. Mike is also a prominent figure in the South Bay recovery community. He is heavily involved with numerous non-profits and gives back through a variety of impactful organizations. Mike’s experience and love of helping others allow him to bring his own unique brand of passion, enthusiasm and warmth to prospective clients and their families.

Laure Linn, M.B.A.

Chief Financial Officer

Laure Linn joined Neuro Wellness Spa as Chief Financial Officer in July 2019. Prior to joining Neuro, Laure held previous financial roles at Bank of America, Paramount Pictures and CBS. She also worked in the Digital practice at Accenture. Throughout her 20-year career, Laure has established a reputation for building world-class teams and for aligning financial and business metrics to support business strategy and high-growth. Laure holds a BA in Economics from UCLA and an MBA from the USC Marshall School of Business.

Scott Dohren

Director of Operations

Scott Dohren attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a focus in Business Administration.  He also holds a CADC-II certification in addiction studies.

 

Scott has a tremendous amount of experience with both administrative and interpersonal aspects of behavioral health.  His background in the field of behavioral health extends to counseling, mentorship, outreach, admissions, and business development.

 

Scott’s leadership and passion in the field of wellness has played a fundamental role in the expansion and development of Neuro Wellness Spa.

 

In his free time, Scott enjoys maintaining a healthy exercise regimen, attending concerts, spending time in nature, and traveling with his fiancé Karen.

Josh Johnson

Josh was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, where he lived until he moved to California in 2018. In the midwest, he learned the importance of having strong moral values and a determined work ethic, which has allowed him to be of maximum service to his community. Throughout his life, Josh has experienced his own battles with depression/anxiety for which he was able to find a successful and happy solution through TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) at Neuro Wellness Spa, changing his life forever.

 

Since undergoing TMS, he has aspired to help bring this solution to others who are suffering by pursuing a position in the clinic, putting passion into his work and bringing energy in to our practice.

Scott McFarland is a native of Southern California. He earned his Bachelors of Science in Finance from San Diego State University and spent much of his free time outdoors.

 

He is excited to be a part of the Neuro Wellness Spa team where he can blend his passion of helping others with analytical problem solving to help improve functionality of the company. Scott’s hope is to use his experience with mentoring young adults to ensure that patients feel comfortable and a part of the Neuro Family.

Greg Kettlelkamp

Intake Coordinator

Greg Kettelkamp attended Chico State University with a focus on Mechanical Engineering. He found himself drawn to helping people rather than engineering after he left college.

 

Greg has many years of experience in both business and customer service that make him very effective with both clients and problem-solving day to day business matters. He believes that a personal touch is necessary to make sure that all customers feel they are heard and well taken care of.

 

In his free time Greg enjoys going to the gym, spending time with family and loved ones, and anything that has to do with sports. The greatest joy in his life is spending time with his long-term girlfriend Jessica, and her daughter Skylar.

Daisy Barajas

Office Manager

Prior to her time at Neuro, Daisy worked in the real estate industry as a paralegal and mortgage loan processor. She will be applying her stellar customer service skills and her highly organized work style to support our clinical and operations teams in providing excellent clinical services.

Of all her duties, Daisy is most excited to watch clients grow and thrive during their treatment at Neuro.

In her spare time, Daisy enjoys spending time with friends, family and her dog Sparky, traveling, and going to the movie theater. You may also find her and her daughter hanging out with Mickey Mouse at Disneyland on her days off.

Monica handles all of the Human Resource responsibilities for Neuro Wellness Spa. Prior to working here, she had experience in the Aerospace and Defense industries as a recruiter and human resources coordinator. She looks forward to bringing her expertise to Neuro Wellness Spa in any way she can.

Monica is hard working, efficient, and understanding-a great combination to have for anyone within a Human Resources role. In her spare time she is either listening to music, at the movies watching the latest marvel flick, at the beach or park with her puppy Chester or reading her favorite comics and books with her cat Pebbles.

Gricela Mendoza

Patient Accounting Specialist

Gricela joins the Neuro Wellness Spa staff as an administrative assistant. Her past work experience in the hospitality industry as well as helping people get back on their feet with credit repair has helped move her into an even more empathetic role of helping others navigate through their own recovery.

Having a brother go through his own experience in recovery, her own personal experience and insight to addiction has motivated her to help others through Neuro Wellness Spa’s various programs. Gricela enjoys being part of a team in order to make sure all of the Spa’s needs and requirements are not only met, but exceeded.

Viren Padhiar

Patient Accounting Manager

Viren is a Southern California native. He enjoys being outdoors, often enjoying weekends in the local mountains. Viren enjoys working on vehicles, and spending time with his dogs Kevin and Teddy. Viren comes from a tight-knit family and loves the opportunity he gets on a daily basis to support an amazing team, helping the South Bay. He has a vast knowledge of the various departments, regularly shaking hands with each to ensure a smooth seamless administrative process. His journey began when he was offered a position at the Neuro Wellness Spa while working in recovery here in the South Bay. From there he has been able to move into various roles within the company to become a dedicated and impactful employee.

Angelica Cortez

Angelica serves as a Medical claims billing specialist, who is able to work with multiple clients and is the cornerstone for Neuro Wellness Spa. Adept at monitoring insurance billing changes, maintaining a patient file database and analyzing returned claims for errors.

Her accumulated knowledge in Medical billing and coding, makes her a valuable contribution to Neuro Wellness Spa. She understands how to process claims for payments. She goes above and beyond for an Explanation Of Benefits and works with denied E.O.B.’s. Correcting the claims, with the result of claims being paid.

Angelica is very passionate and diligent with her occupation. She enjoys working with patients, helps answers any type of questions regarding insurance claims and processing. She finds satisfaction in billing her claims out and following up on them to see the process of payments. Angelica is a Mother of two beautiful children who enjoys working out daily and the sweet taste of chocolate.
